Lead Engineer - APX Fleet Design
About this role
Lead fleet design strategy and standardization for Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear plants. Guide design and delivery approaches across Nuclear Island and Turbine Island systems, manage technical teams, and collaborate with suppliers, fabricators, and customers to resolve complex engineering challenges.
Responsibilities
- —Define and develop design and delivery strategies for Nuclear Island (NI) and Turbine Island (TI), including standardization approaches across multiple suppliers
- —Adapt strategies to different technical requirements such as 50/60 Hz impacts and metrication
- —Define and maintain the design baseline and standard Index of Engineering Documents based on standard product definition
- —Lead main technical teams, providing oversight while delegating work and mentoring team members
- —Provide technical guidance and direction; collaborate with partners, suppliers, fabricators, and customers
- —Identify and define technical risks and challenges; direct efforts to successful resolution
Qualifications
- —BS in Engineering
- —10+ years of relevant experience
- —Experience in a technical leadership role (technical lead or project manager)
Desired
- —MS in Engineering
- —Experience in AP1000 plant or new nuclear plant design
- —Experience in multiple engineering disciplines and process development/improvement
Location
Hybrid (2 days onsite per week), Cranberry Township, PA
