About this role

Designs, develops, and delivers accredited operator training across classroom and simulator settings at a nuclear power plant. Supports all levels of operations personnel (non-licensed operators, licensed operators, Shift Managers, Shift Technical Advisors) and requires expertise in power plant operations and instructional design.

Responsibilities

—Analyze and design training programs for non-licensed operator, licensed operator, Shift Manager, and Shift Technical Advisor training
—Develop and conduct training in classroom and simulator environments for all operator training programs
—Develop and administer examinations for operator training programs
—Pursue and maintain instructor qualifications including general instructor, simulator booth operator, SRO Certification, and simulator floor instructor credentials
—Assist with self-assessments and evaluations of operator training programs
—Manage training program maintenance and CAP management
—Function as a member of the site Emergency Response Organization (ERO)
—Support Operations group day-to-day activities and plant refueling outages

Qualifications

—Expertise or familiarity with power plant operations
—Demonstrated ability to interface well with people and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
—Ability to effectively present training material to varied class sizes and entry-level knowledge
—Organizational and administrative skills to produce, maintain, and deliver accredited performance-based training
—Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in teams with minimal supervision
—Intermediate to advanced computer skills
—Ability to satisfy NRC security requirements
—Ability to obtain RO or SRO license or SRO Certification
