Instructor (Nuclear) or Senior Instructor (Nuclear) - Engineering

Dominion Energy seeks an Instructor (Nuclear) or Senior Instructor (Nuclear) to develop instructional materials and conduct technical training at V.C. Summer nuclear power station. You'll design, implement, and evaluate complex training programs in classroom, laboratory, and on-the-job settings while ensuring compliance with nuclear industry and regulatory requirements.

Instructor (Nuclear): At least 5 years of experience in the trade/discipline for which training is provided (preferably 4+ years in INPO-accredited training program). Senior Instructor (Nuclear): 12+ years of related experience, OR Certified Instructor with 5+ years experience, OR RO/SRO license with 5+ years experience, OR Senior Instructor Training Certification from Dominion with 5+ years experience. Additional requirements: Fully qualified and proficient in specific craft discipline (e.g., Nuclear Plant Equipment Operator, Nuclear Electrician, Nuclear Instrument Technician, Nuclear Mechanic, Nuclear Chemistry Technician, Health Physics Technician); demonstrated knowledge and ability to prepare, present, and practice job-related skills through OJT/TPE delivery; led OJT/TPE modules for specific discipline(s); observed and formally approved to conduct OJT/TPE for specific discipline(s); excellent verbal and written communication skills; good problem-solving skills; good personal computer skills; high school diploma minimum; Reactor Operator (RO) or Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license, or applicable discipline INPO-accredited initial training program certification, or Senior Instructor Training Certification from Dominion, or Certified Instructor; demonstrated knowledge of instructional techniques through training or experience; minimum 2 years related experience including 0.25 years nuclear power plant experience.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline; in-depth knowledge of instructional design theory and SAT (Systematic Approach to Training); experience with ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 standards; ability to operate various plant instrumentation and controls; informal leadership skills; military service with ranks E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6.

V.C. Summer nuclear power station, South Carolina. Up to 25% travel. Office work environment 76-100%. Exposure to cold, energized wires, fumes, heat, loud noise, radiation, and outdoor conditions up to 25% each.
