Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) at Urenco USA's uranium enrichment facility in Eunice, NM. Support classified and unclassified information systems security, ensure NRC/DOD/DOE regulatory compliance, develop cyber security programs, and respond to security incidents.
Responsibilities
- —Support ISSM for planning and implementation of security for classified and unclassified information systems, ensuring NRC/DOD/DOE compliance
- —Develop and maintain comprehensive cyber security program to safeguard data, systems, and networks
- —Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect sensitive information and assets
- —Monitor and analyze security logs to identify and respond to potential security incidents
- —Analyze vulnerabilities and risks for consistency with regulatory requirements
- —Investigate cyber security issues under ISSM supervision
- —Advise ISSM and Security Manager on cyber security risks and mitigation techniques
- —Establish, document, implement, and monitor cyber security procedures
- —Maintain Access Authorization packages and ensure users obtain required security clearances
- —Educate employees on cyber security, data privacy, and incident response best practices
- —Support site operations including procedure revisions and Corrective Action Program investigations
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- —3 years of direct work experience in regulatory security field (DOE, DOS, DOD, etc.)
- —Prior experience with Microsoft Active Directory and group policy access rights administration
- —CAA Access and Q-level security clearance
Desired
- —5 years of direct work experience in Cyber or Information Security field
- —Familiarity with regulatory requirements for information handling and NIST Management Framework
- —Certification in IT Security (CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+)
Location
On-site in Eunice, NM. Professional work schedule with minimal night/weekend support required; subject to 24/7 on-call duties during designated ERO team duty weeks; radiological exposure expectations; 10% travel or less.
