I&C Process Engineering Aide II
About this role
Support development of bills of materials and routings for instrumentation and control (I&C) products at Westinghouse's New Stanton, PA facility. This role bridges process engineering and shop floor operations, ensuring I&C products like printed circuit cards, power supplies, and cabinets are manufactured consistently and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- —Work with process, parts, and manufacturing engineering teams and shop technicians to develop and maintain standardized BOMs and routings for I&C products
- —Define work center requirements including proper setup and configuration
- —Lead pre-job and post-job briefs with shop technicians to ensure routing operations are clearly understood and identify successes/difficulties
- —Initiate amendments to BOMs, routings, drawings, and procedures prior to manufacturing activities
- —Support development of standard work instructions, SOPs, factory acceptance testing (FATs), commercial dedication instructions (CDIs), and inspection practices
- —Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives including enhancing shop standard operating procedures and gathering technician feedback
Qualifications
2+ years of hands-on experience in I&C product manufacturing or related discipline; experience with SAP PP and QM modules; ability to interpret product drawings, wiring diagrams, and sketches; experience with electrical hardware and software testing and inspection
Location
New Stanton, PA; hybrid (on-site minimum 3 days per week)
