Required qualifications

BS in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering degree. Previous knowledge of PWR design and operation; experience with I&C systems. Detailed understanding of configuration management, requirements management, and verification/validation concepts. Ability to decompose technical and process requirements into I&C-specific requirements. Basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis.

About this role

Lead I&C Systems Engineer role at Westinghouse implementing systems engineering processes on large nuclear projects. You'll coordinate technical design creation and changes across multi-discipline groups, managing configuration, requirements, and verification/validation across PWR systems and subsystems.

Responsibilities

  • Implement systems engineering processes and apply configuration management, requirements management, and verification/validation concepts across multiple I&C systems in a consistent manner
  • Coordinate and lead technical design creation and changes across multi-discipline engineering groups
  • Decompose and implement technical and process requirements from contracts, codes, standards, and project inputs into I&C-specific requirements
  • Evaluate analysis inputs and results to develop specific technical solutions for customers
  • Provide cost estimates for project scopes and support smaller projects as needed

Preferred qualifications

Familiarity with industry codes and standards (NRC regulations, ASME, IEEE standards).
