About this role
Support Westinghouse's Advanced Reactors Instrumentation & Control (I&C) team as an Engineer I, developing I&C systems through the full system development lifecycle. Design and qualify FPGA-based I&C platforms for next-generation reactors, collaborating across hardware, software, and regulatory functions to meet NRC qualification standards.
Responsibilities
- —Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality integration of I&C systems and support customer offer development
- —Create functional logic diagrams and develop test plans; execute testing based on project needs
- —Support Equipment Qualification (EMC, Environmental, Seismic) of internally developed FPGA-based I&C platforms
- —Provide guidance to hardware and software design engineers on I&C system architecture and design
- —Assist in board-level design, functional testing, integration testing, and application development
- —Conduct engineering review of system documentation and interface with qualification groups on standards compliance
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- —Knowledge of Printed Circuit Boards, Analog/Digital Circuit Design, and FPGA technology
- —Knowledge of LabVIEW, C++, Java, Python, and embedded software development
Location
Cranberry Township, PA; on-site 2–3 days per week
