About this role
Contract I&C Engineer role supporting Unit Auxiliary Transformer Replacement Projects at a nuclear station. Design and configure instrumentation & control systems for transformer and monitoring equipment replacements, including I/O signal evaluation, alarm logic development, and engineering change package preparation.
Responsibilities
- Review manufacturing design drawings and determine required I/O signals, topology, and configuration in coordination with Operations, System Engineering, and Electrical Responsible Engineer
- Communicate required device configurations and topology to manufacturers
- Facilitate development of annunciation device and Integrated Computer System (ICS) alarm configurations with Operations and System Engineering concurrence
- Develop trip logic diagram modifications in coordination with Operations, System Engineer, and Electrical Responsible Engineer
- Prepare engineering change packages and Document Change Notices (amendments)
Location, schedule, and travel
Onsite at nuclear station supporting Units 1 & 2; contract position
