Human Factors Engineer
About this role
Support nuclear safety and operational excellence at Ascó Nuclear Power Plant (Spain) as a Human Factors Engineer for Westinghouse. Analyze operational events, implement performance improvements, and optimize human-system interaction in a PWR environment to enhance plant safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- —Support event analysis programs to identify root causes and improvement opportunities
- —Analyze performance indicators and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement
- —Implement improvements based on operational experience from internal and external sources
- —Enhance human-system interaction through applied human factors engineering principles
- —Participate in field activities and collaborate with operations, engineering, and management teams
- —Contribute to continuous improvement processes, integrating technical knowledge with performance improvement methodologies
Qualifications
- —Technical university degree in Engineering or related field
- —Interest and background in Human Factors Engineering
- —High level of spoken and written English
- —Willingness to work on-site and participate in field activities at the plant
- —1+ year of experience or knowledge of nuclear sector technologies
- —Training in Occupational Risk Prevention (preferred)
- —Demonstrated analytical and logical thinking capabilities
- —Commitment to learning and professional development
Location
Hybrid position based at Ascó Nuclear Power Plant, Spain. Significant on-site presence and field activities required.
