Functional & System Engineer I
About this role
Design, analysis, and support of safety-related Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems for nuclear applications. Contribute to system documentation, reliability analysis, and multidisciplinary engineering teams in a regulated nuclear environment.
Responsibilities
- —Develop and maintain system documentation including functional logic diagrams, specifications, and design descriptions
- —Perform reliability and performance analyses using tools such as Reliability Workbench and established methodologies
- —Analyze operational and field data, identify trends, and prepare technical summaries and reports
- —Support troubleshooting, evaluations, and continuous improvement activities with senior engineers
- —Participate in project coordination, configuration management, and document control
- —Comply with safety, quality, and NRC regulatory processes in a safety-critical environment
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical/scientific discipline
- —Demonstrated analytical thinking and structured problem-solving applied to complex technical topics
- —Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to document technical analyses
- —Proficiency with data, models, procedures, and technical tools
- —Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
Desired
- —Interest in or exposure to reliability, risk, or systems analysis
- —Experience with safety-critical or regulated industrial systems
- —Knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, or functional logic
