Required qualifications
Minimum 1 year operating and/or maintaining bolt replacement equipment or similar complex field service equipment; minimum 2 jobs as Platform Worker during bolt replacement or D&D (Baffle, Barrel, or Clevis) jobs; minimum 1 job as Tool Specialist during bolt replacement (Baffle or Clevis); basic computer knowledge including software installation and networking; strong mechanical and/or electrotechnical aptitude; ability to read technical documentation (mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, procedures); English proficiency A2 minimum (B1 or higher preferred); local language proficiency (German, Spanish, or Belgian French) at native level or C1/C2 equivalent; willingness to travel internationally and work in outage environments.

Field Technician III for Westinghouse specializing in maintenance, assembly, and troubleshooting of baffle and clevis bolt replacement equipment used during nuclear power plant outages worldwide. You will serve as the on-site tool specialist, ensuring correct preparation and operation of specialized bolt replacement tools while coordinating with shift leads, operators, and platform workers across multiple countries.
Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot bolt replacement equipment, tools, and specialist field service equipment
- Commission and test new components for bolt replacement and field service equipment
- Operate bolt replacement equipment and Westinghouse products on-site at nuclear power plants
- Manufacture or modify electrical and mechanical components according to technical drawings
- Assemble and prepare equipment and tooling for bolt replacement jobs
- Train new team members and subcontractors on bolt replacement tools and equipment operation
- Provide correct tools and support to platform workers for bolt installation and machine assembly
- Collaborate cross-functionally with international teams across multiple countries during outages
Location, schedule, and travel
Base location: Mannheim, Germany. On-site work: nuclear power plants worldwide. International travel required for outage work.
