Field Services Engineer
About this role
Lead project lifecycles for low-complexity nuclear projects at Westinghouse, managing small teams while developing specialized expertise in Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems or refuel machine equipment. Progress to multiple concurrent projects or larger work packages while upholding nuclear safety culture and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- —Author project plans defining scope, schedule, cost baselines, and resource requirements per departmental protocols
- —Manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, and resources across assigned projects using integrated change management
- —Interpret and communicate project and contract requirements to internal and external stakeholders
- —Perform quality assessments and closeout activities (financial, scheduling, documentation, resource reconciliation)
- —Develop subject matter expertise in Westinghouse I&C systems or refuel machine systems through hands-on involvement
- —Provide direct oversight of Westinghouse employees and subcontractors during project execution
- —Identify equipment and system issues per procedures, recommend solutions, and support field crew training
- —Identify and communicate lessons learned, improvement opportunities, and risk avoidance strategies
- —Coach, mentor, and build strong relationships with project teams, customers, and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related technical discipline. Minimum 2 years of project management experience, OR 1 year of project management plus 1 year in a technical role within nuclear or construction industries. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead teams and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of project scheduling and cost management tools. Understanding of data visualization, reporting, and database concepts.
Desired
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technology. 2–4 years of project management experience in engineering, manufacturing, nuclear, or construction environments. PMP or WEC Project Management Certification.

Field-based with Westinghouse nuclear projects (specific sites not specified in posting).
