Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in operation and maintenance of bolt replacement equipment
- At least 7 jobs worldwide with minimum experience as: 1× platform worker, 2× Tool Specialist, 2× Tool Operator
- 2–3 participations in maintenance of bolt replacement equipment or similar complex field service equipment
- Strong mechanical and/or electrotechnical aptitude with ability to read technical documentation (mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, procedures)
- Basic knowledge of computers, software installation, and networking
- English proficiency: minimum A2 level required
- Local language proficiency (Germany, Spain, Belgium): native level or C1/C2 equivalent
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to work rigorously and follow procedures in nuclear environments
- Willingness to travel internationally and work in outage environments
About this role
Field Service Specialist for Westinghouse responsible for preparation, maintenance, testing, and operation of baffle and clevis bolt replacement equipment during nuclear power plant outages worldwide. Lead teams of 3–6 technicians and engineers on-site, serve as subject matter expert for equipment and processes, and collaborate with engineering teams to validate and improve products.
Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain, commission, and test bolt replacement equipment and specialist field service equipment
- Support Product and Development Engineers during testing phases (parameter development, validation, troubleshooting)
- Train new team members and subcontractors on bolt replacement equipment operation and procedures
- Operate bolt replacement equipment on-site, leading small teams (Shift/Jump leads) in nuclear power plants worldwide
- Manufacture, modify, assemble, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components and tooling
- Serve as shift lead and subject matter expert for equipment, processes, and auxiliary systems (Vacuum System, Base Plate, Support Structures)
- Collaborate cross-departmentally and internationally with teams across multiple countries
Preferred qualifications
- Experience as shift lead/jump lead during baffle or clevis bolt replacement jobs
- English proficiency B1 or higher
Location, schedule, and travel
Based in Mannheim, Germany; international travel required for on-site nuclear power plant outage work worldwide
