Required qualifications
- 10 years of experience in operation and maintenance of bolt replacement equipment
- Minimum 7 jobs worldwide including: at least 1 platform worker role, minimum 2 Tool Specialist roles, minimum 2 Tool Operator roles
- Minimum 2–3 participations in maintenance of bolt replacement equipment or similar complex field service equipment
- Ability to read technical documentation (mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, procedures)
- Strong mechanical and/or electrotechnical aptitude
- Basic computer skills (software installation, networking)
- English proficiency minimum A2 level; B1 or higher preferred
- Local language proficiency (Germany, Spain, or Belgium) at native or C1/C2 equivalent level
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work within nuclear environment procedures
- Willingness to travel internationally and work in outage environments
About this role
Field Service Specialist for Westinghouse baffle and clevis bolt replacement equipment at nuclear power plants worldwide. Lead small teams of technicians and engineers during outages, serving as the primary expert on bolt replacement equipment operation, maintenance, and testing. Work directly with Product and Development Engineers to validate and improve specialist field service equipment and processes.
Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain, and test bolt replacement equipment and specialist field service equipment
- Commission and test newly designed specialist field service equipment; support Product and Development Engineers during parameter development, validation, and troubleshooting
- Operate bolt replacement equipment on-site at nuclear power plants worldwide as Shift/Jump Lead, managing teams of 3–6 technicians and/or engineers
- Train new team members and subcontractors on bolt replacement equipment operation
- Manufacture or modify electrical and mechanical components; assemble equipment and tooling
- Collaborate cross-departmentally and internationally with teams in multiple countries to validate and improve products
Preferred qualifications
Prior experience as Shift Lead or Jump Lead during baffle or clevis bolt replacement outage jobs.
Location, schedule, and travel
Based in Mannheim, Germany; requires international travel and work in nuclear power plant outage environments worldwide.
