Environmental Analyst
About this role
Environmental Analyst supporting Entergy nuclear power stations, responsible for developing and implementing environmental compliance processes across air/water permits, waste management, and regulatory requirements. Position available at Analyst II, III, or Senior level depending on qualifications. This role provides critical environmental regulatory oversight for nuclear operations and ensures compliance with federal and state environmental requirements.
Responsibilities
- —Support implementation and compliance for nuclear power stations including air and water discharge permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure plans, and waste management programs
- —Provide environmental regulatory compliance oversight including participation in regulatory compliance audits and delivery of compliance training
- —Become certified operator for water and wastewater treatment systems
- —Conduct ecological and environmental impact evaluations
- —Interface with regulatory agencies to ensure proper permitting
- —Provide oversight for outside vendors completing environmental compliance tasks
- —Support project management teams, Engineering Change Requests, and refueling activities
- —Monitor legislative and regulatory rulemaking processes and ensure work processes incorporate appropriate environmental compliance strategies
- —Provide 24-hour availability for management of environmental response contractors during emergency hazardous chemical releases
- —Manage records and documentation pertaining to compliance programs in accordance with records retention policy
- —Participate in Environmental Management System activities during outages and major storm events
- —Manage and provide oversight of site contamination remediation projects
- —Participate in industry groups as needed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or other science-related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience
- —2+ years experience handling environmental compliance activities (Analyst II level); 3-5 years (Analyst III level); 5+ years (Senior Analyst level)
- —Physically able to conduct field environmental investigations in restricted access areas
- —Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- —Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work tasks simultaneously
- —Strong attention to detail
- —Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- —Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- —Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- —Excellent organizational skills

- —Knowledge of power generation fundamentals
Location
Hybrid; Russellville, Arkansas; up to 25% travel; must be physically able to conduct field investigations in restricted access areas
