About this role

Serve as an enterprise-wide Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) Subject Matter Expert within Entergy's Centralized Environmental Services team, supporting emission monitoring activities across the generating fleet including nuclear, fossil, and renewable facilities. This role develops and implements environmental compliance processes and systems under the Clean Air Act (CAA), managing regulatory reporting, QA/QC procedures, and cross-functional coordination across Power Delivery, Power Generation, and Nuclear business units.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as enterprise-wide CEMS SME for environmental laws and regulations under CAA including 40 C.F.R. Part 75 (Acid Rain & Emission Monitoring Programs), 40 C.F.R. Part 60 (New Source Performance Standards), and 40 C.F.R. Part 63 (National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants)
  • Develop regulatory Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures, plans, and test protocols in accordance with federal and state compliance reporting requirements
  • Review and assemble performance specification test data (RATA, Linearity, CGA, 7-Day Calibration Error, Opacity Calibration Error Test, PM Testing) to prepare system certification report submittals
  • Complete and submit quarterly electronic data reports (EDRs) and monitoring plan updates in the EPA's Emissions Collection and Monitoring Plan System (ECMPS)
  • Oversee data acquisition handling systems (DAHS) including Environmental Systems Corp. (ESC) and StackVision systems
  • Guide troubleshooting of CEMS hardware including analyzers and associated equipment
  • Partner with Environmental Operational Support and Environmental Project Services teams to ensure regulatory compliance and develop risk mitigation plans
  • Provide regulatory analysis of complex rules and regulations impacting Entergy operations across Power Delivery, Power Generation, and Nuclear business functions
  • Draft written communications and interface with state/federal agencies on Entergy's behalf
  • Engage with industry groups including Edison Electric Institute (EEI), Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), and ESC User Group
  • Manage records and documentation pertaining to compliance programs in accordance with records retention policy
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities
  • Participate in environmental system outage emergency operations and restoration for major storm events

Qualifications

  • Experience providing services in support of environmental compliance monitoring and reporting systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of environmental regulations under the Clean Air Act and associated CFR parts (40 C.F.R. Parts 60, 63, and 75)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Desired

  • Environmental Systems Corp. (ESC) experience
  • StackVision experience
  • Experience with EPA ECMPS system submissions
  • Familiarity with CEMS hardware platforms and analyzers

Location

Hybrid with primary locations in Texas (The Woodlands), Arkansas (Little Rock), or Louisiana (Baton Rouge or New Orleans) or Mississippi (Jackson); up to 25% travel required. Safety Sensitive position subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing.
