About this role
Constellation, the nation's largest producer of clean energy, seeks a Structural Engineer to provide advanced technical expertise in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsibilities include developing and managing engineering analyses, resolving equipment and system problems, performing structural integrity assessments, and supporting outage and emergency response activities.
Responsibilities
- —Develop, manage, and implement structural engineering analyses, activities, and programs in support of nuclear plant operations
- —Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through technical expertise and direct involvement
- —Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and structural analyses supporting technical projects and regulatory compliance
- —Manage engineering tasks and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work with proper configuration management and adherence to design criteria, codes, and procedures
- —Recommend equipment upgrades, design improvements, and new techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, outage activities, and other assignments as directed by management
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, or Nuclear); ability to maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements as applicable; favorable medical examination per position duties.
Desired
2+ years of nuclear or related engineering experience (Mid-level and above); 5+ years of nuclear engineering experience (Senior level); Nuclear Modification Design Process knowledge; Professional Engineer (PE) Registration; advanced technical degree or related coursework.
