About this role
Constellation, the nation's largest producer of clean energy, operates multiple nuclear facilities across the US. This Mechanical Engineer role provides technical expertise supporting nuclear plant operations, solving complex engineering problems, managing technical projects, and ensuring safe, reliable facility operations. Available at Entry, Mid-level, or Senior levels.
Responsibilities
- —Develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs providing in-depth technical expertise
- —Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through technical expertise and consultation
- —Manage engineering issues and perform task management for assigned projects
- —Perform engineering tasks applying engineering principles; ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- —Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- —Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and outage activities as directed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear). Maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements and favorable medical examination per position duties. Mid-level: 2 years nuclear or related engineering experience. Senior: 5 years nuclear or related engineering experience.
Desired
Nuclear Modification Design Process knowledge. Professional Engineer (PE) Registration. Advanced technical degree or related coursework.
Location
Multiple Constellation nuclear facilities across the US.
