Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear). Ability to maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, and pass favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties. For Mid-level: 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience. For Senior: 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
About this role
Constellation seeks an Electrical Design/I&C Engineer to perform engineering and technical tasks supporting nuclear plant operations. Responsibilities include ensuring all engineering products comply with safety analyses, industry codes, and NRC regulatory requirements. This role can be filled at Entry, Mid-level, or Senior level, with opportunities to lead multidiscipline project teams and support emergency response and outage activities.
Responsibilities
- Assure all engineering products are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements
- Develop engineering calculations and evaluations that establish or confirm design bases of electrical and I&C components
- Perform engineering and technical tasks including emergency response duties, department coverage, and outage activities
- Lead multidiscipline project teams and interface with stakeholders
- Develop and review proposals and estimates for project design from engineering service providers
Preferred qualifications
Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification. Experience with Electrical and I&C component design (breakers, cables, transmitters, motors, transformers, switches, relays, complex control systems, PLC). Ability to address obsolescence issues including selecting appropriate replacements and digital components.
