Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and implement structural/civil engineering analysis activities and programs supporting nuclear plant operations
  • Provide technical expertise as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
  • Lead engineering and technical programs with accountability for short-term and long-term initiatives impacting site operations
  • Perform structural/civil engineering calculations and analyses applying engineering principles with accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure proper configuration management and application of design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes (per 10 CFR, ASME, NRC requirements) in preparation of plans and specifications
  • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses supporting technical projects and programs
  • Recommend equipment, design improvements, and techniques to enhance performance, reduce costs, correct design deficiencies, or comply with regulatory and code changes
  • Support emergency response, outage activities, and operational coverage as assigned

Preferred qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
  • Advanced technical degree or graduate-level coursework in engineering discipline
