Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, or Nuclear). Mid-level candidates require 2+ years of nuclear or related engineering experience. Senior candidates require 5+ years of nuclear or related engineering experience and must meet additional requirements outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard. Must maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable. Favorable medical examination and/or testing required in accordance with position duties.
About this role
Constellation seeks reactor engineers to provide advanced problem-solving and technical expertise supporting nuclear plant operations. Responsibilities include reactor core analysis, engineering design decisions, compliance with NRC codes and regulations, and QNE certification attainment within 24 months. Positions available at Entry, Mid-level, and Senior levels.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs
- Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve reactor core analysis, movement, and control issues
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work with proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes
- Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- Obtain Qualified Nuclear Engineering (QNE) certification within 24 months of assuming the position
- Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and outage activities as directed by management
