About this role

Fire Protection Engineer supporting nuclear plant operations at Constellation Energy. Develop, manage, and implement fire protection engineering programs, analyses, and system improvements to ensure plant safety and compliance with NRC regulations and industry fire codes (NFPA, 10 CFR 50 Appendix R).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and implement fire protection engineering analyses, activities, and programs
  • Provide technical expertise to identify and resolve fire protection equipment and system problems
  • Manage engineering tasks applying fire protection engineering principles and standards
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design criteria, procedures, and applicable fire codes (NFPA, NRC requirements)
  • Conduct independent research, reviews, and analyses supporting fire protection projects and regulatory compliance
  • Recommend equipment upgrades, new concepts, and techniques to improve fire safety performance and comply with code changes and NRC regulations
  • Support emergency response, on-call coverage, and outage fire protection activities

Preferred qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) Registration. Advanced technical degree or related coursework in fire protection. Fire protection system design and analysis knowledge.
