Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, or Nuclear)

3+ years of nuclear industry or related engineering experience (Mid-level); 5+ years for Senior level

Must meet ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.3.4) Standard requirements for Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants

Maintain minimum or unescorted facility access requirements as applicable

Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

About this role

Electrical I&C engineer supporting nuclear plant operations. Develops and implements engineering analysis for electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems while ensuring compliance with NRC regulations and ANSI/ANS standards. Provides technical expertise for system problem-solving, equipment recommendations, and design improvements.

Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs for electrical I&C systems

Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct technical involvement and consultation

Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to design criteria, codes, and procedures

Recommend equipment upgrades, design improvements, and new techniques to enhance performance, reduce costs, or comply with regulatory changes

Support emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage activities as directed

Preferred qualifications

Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification

Strong grasp of electrical I&C systems and fundamental functions
