Engineer / Mechanical or Electrical
About this role
Constellation, the nation's largest producer of clean and reliable energy, seeks Mechanical or Electrical Engineers (Entry, Mid-level, or Senior) to provide advanced technical expertise supporting nuclear plant operations and fleet modernization. You will solve complex engineering problems, manage technical projects, and help design and operate nuclear facilities at world-class standards.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs
- —Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct technical involvement and consultation
- —Manage engineering issues from conception through completion
- —Perform engineering tasks applying engineering principles and standard design criteria
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work with proper configuration management
- —Conduct independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects
- —Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- —Support emergency response, outage activities, and departmental coverage as directed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
- —Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience (Mid-level)
- —5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience (Senior)
- —Licensing LAR/Task Report experience
- —Nuclear Modification Design Process experience
- —Professional Engineer registration
- —Advanced technical degree or related coursework
Location
Onsite at nuclear facility; must be available for emergency response, call outs, and outage support activities.
