Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline with 7 years of OT, IT, or engineering experience (OR Associate's degree with 8 years); senior-level expertise and design competency in platform/application areas; ability to perform OT systems engineering tasks independently; detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations; maintain required access clearances; pass medical examination in accordance with position duties.
About this role
Senior OT Systems Engineer supporting nuclear plant operational technology infrastructure. Provide advanced technical expertise in process computers, data historians, and core monitoring systems. Act as subject matter expert for complex problem-solving, system design, and migration strategies across nuclear facilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, deploy, and operate OT systems and applications; support migration of existing applications to new platforms
- Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems affecting operational technology systems
- Develop technology roadmaps, resource requirements, migration strategies, and project schedules in coordination with leadership and project teams
- Create technical documentation including requirement documents, statements of work, logical and physical architecture diagrams, and implementation plans for nuclear plant environments
- Participate in system refresh or redesign activities during upgrades in accordance with Long Term Asset Management strategies
- Monitor, assess, and improve performance and reliability of OT systems; support installation, testing, and validation
- Provide feedback on risks identified during business impact analysis, site risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning
- Develop troubleshooting plans and perform emergency response duties as needed
- Mentor peers and junior staff; maintain current knowledge of emerging OT technologies and industry trends
Location, schedule, and travel
On-site at nuclear plant facilities. Includes emergency response duties, on-call coverage, and potential travel to support outage activities.
