Engineer

Design, develop, and upgrade instrumentation and control systems for nuclear power plants at Westinghouse. Support signal processing, control systems design, and system specifications for PWR and new reactor technologies. Entry-level to mid-career role with mentorship from experienced I&C engineers.

Support creation of drawings and technical specifications for nuclear instrumentation systems; compile technical documents for procurement and manufacturing; manage obsolescence issues and coordinate supplier/manufacturing technical resolution; develop system and hardware design specifications for I&C systems in new and existing plants; create hardware design documentation (cabinet layouts, cable/wiring schematics, PCB layouts); support test document creation and execution; develop test procedures from system design and software requirement documents; support root cause investigation and defect tracking; provide customer support for installation and emergent technical issues; travel to customer and supplier sites (domestic and international) as needed.

BS in Electrical Engineering or relevant degree (industry experience preferred); 0+ years of experience (new graduates encouraged); strong technical interest and willingness to learn; ability to apply fundamental engineering principles; knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis/design; lab equipment proficiency (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator); understanding of PWR design and operation; familiarity with industry standard drawings (P&ID, loop diagrams, cabinet drawings, panel layouts); effective written and verbal communication; ability to work within teams and coordinate external support.

Hybrid (2 days/week on-site at Westinghouse New Stanton, PA); domestic and international travel required.
