About this role
Design and develop nuclear instrumentation signal processing and control systems for new and existing power plants at Westinghouse. Work on a hybrid schedule (2 days/week onsite in New Stanton, PA) with experienced engineers delivering technical solutions for reactor I&C upgrades and new installations.
Responsibilities
- —Support engineering design, development, and upgrade of nuclear instrumentation systems and control systems
- —Create drawings, design specifications, and technical documentation for procurement and manufacturing
- —Develop system and hardware design specifications including cabinet layouts, cable/wiring schematics, and PCB layouts
- —Create and execute test procedures and test documentation from system design and software requirements
- —Support root cause investigation and defect resolution; manage obsolescence and supplier technical issues
- —Provide technical support to customers for installation and emergent issues
- —Coordinate domestic and international site visits for customer and supplier support
Qualifications
- —BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree with relevant nuclear/power industry experience
- —Strong fundamentals in analog and digital circuit analysis and design
- —Knowledge of field devices and control devices typical to power generation
- —Ability to work collaboratively within engineering teams and coordinate external support
- —Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and customer liaison
Desired
- —Lab equipment experience (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator)
- —Knowledge of PWR design and associated systems
- —Familiarity with industry-standard drawings (P&ID, loop diagrams, cabinet drawings, panel layouts)
Location
Hybrid: 2 days/week onsite at Westinghouse New Stanton, PA; domestic and international travel to customer and supplier sites required.
