Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or recognized equivalent
- Understanding of AP1000 containment vessel design documents including drawings, specifications, and calculation summaries
- Understanding of fabrication processes and experience with supplier interactions
About this role
Mechanical Engineer II supporting AP1000 containment vessel design and fabrication at Westinghouse. You'll work on ASME specifications, design drawings, and analytical evaluations while coordinating across departments and with customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Support and interpret ASME design specifications, fabrication specifications, and design drawings
- Gather data and develop detailed designs and drawings for upgrades and new build projects in coordination with other departments
- Perform analytical calculations and evaluations using engineering tools and methods
- Communicate with leads, project managers, customers, and suppliers to coordinate activities
- Travel occasionally to customer and manufacturing vendor sites to provide on-site support, deliver presentations, and resolve issues
Location, schedule, and travel
Hybrid at European Westinghouse location or Cranberry Woods, PA facility; occasional travel to customer and vendor sites
