Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
- 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience (Mid-level) OR 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience (Senior)
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
About this role
Constellation seeks Mid-level or Senior Mechanical or Electrical Engineers to provide advanced technical expertise supporting nuclear plant operations. You will solve complex engineering problems, serve as subject matter expert, and drive technical decisions across nuclear fleet modernization and operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs
- Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
- Fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability for short-term and long-term programs impacting site operations
- Perform engineering tasks applying engineering principles and ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of work
- Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or ensure code compliance
- Support emergency response, outage activities and departmental coverage as directed
Preferred qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) Registration
- Synchronous Generator Design Experience
- Power Uprates experience
