Electrical Process Engineering Aide II
About this role
Support the development of bills of materials and routings for nuclear-qualified electrical products including switchgear and motor control centers at Westinghouse's New Stanton facility. Work with process engineering and shop technicians to maintain standardized documentation, lead pre- and post-job briefs, and drive continuous improvement in electrical manufacturing for nuclear applications.
Responsibilities
- —Work with process, parts, and manufacturing engineering teams to develop and maintain BOMs and routings for electrical products
- —Lead pre-job briefs with shop technicians to ensure routing operations are understood and executable
- —Initiate amendments to BOMs, routings, drawings, and procedures prior to manufacturing start
- —Lead post-job briefs to understand manufacturing successes and difficulties
- —Support development of standard work instructions, factory acceptance testing (FATs), commercial dedication instructions (CDIs), and inspection practices
- —Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including enhancing breaker shop procedures and gathering shop floor feedback
Qualifications
2+ years' hands-on experience in electrical product manufacturing or related discipline; experience with SAP PP and QM modules; ability to interpret product drawings, wiring diagrams, and sketches; experience with electrical hardware testing and inspection
Location
New Stanton, PA facility; on-site required at least 3 days per week
