Constellation seeks an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to perform engineering and technical support for nuclear plant operations at LaSalle County Generating Station (dual-unit BWR site in Marseilles, IL). Entry-level (new graduate) and mid-level (2+ years nuclear experience) positions available; salaries $87,000–$114,000 based on qualifications.

Responsibilities

—Perform engineering and technical tasks supporting nuclear plant operations, applying general engineering principles and safety analyses
—Ensure all engineering products comply with applicable safety analyses, industry codes (ASME, NRC), and regulatory requirements (10 CFR 50)
—Participate in development and implementation of effective engineering processes and techniques in compliance with established policies and procedures
—Recommend format and methodology improvements to standard processes and procedures
—Support emergency response duties, department coverage, and refueling/maintenance outage activities as directed

Qualifications

—B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear)
—For mid-level: minimum 2 years nuclear experience or related engineering experience
—Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access to Protected Area
—Pass favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
