Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- 0–3 years of engineering experience
- Knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis and design
- Familiarity with field devices and control devices used in power industry
- Knowledge of industry-standard drawings (schematics, cabinet drawings, panel layouts)
- Experience with AutoCAD or 3D modeling software
About this role
Design and support safety-critical Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems for nuclear reactors at Westinghouse. Develop hardware designs, technical documentation, and qualification procedures for safety system products used in commercial nuclear plants. Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams to ensure compliance with nuclear quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Issue drawings, bill of materials, and technical specifications for I&C Safety System products
- Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement, testing, and manufacturing of Safety System hardware
- Develop engineered solutions and part change evaluations to address obsolescence in electrical products
- Develop equipment qualification test procedures, evaluate test results, and review final reports
- Perform engineering calculations to support design and analysis of safety-critical products
- Provide engineering support to customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and shop operations
- Communicate with suppliers and manufacturing facilities to resolve technical issues
