Cycle Manager
About this role
Cycle Manager at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Station responsible for planning and coordinating the nuclear refueling cycle. Oversees work sequencing, maintenance scheduling, and system unavailability to balance safety, regulatory compliance, equipment condition, and cost. Requires deep nuclear operations knowledge and multi-departmental coordination authority across E-28 planning through work execution.
Responsibilities
- —Manage work sequencing, scope, risk levels, Technical Specifications, and Maintenance Rule compliance for equipment and system work windows
- —Coordinate and control work schedules from E-28 planning phase through handoff to Work Week Manager
- —Bundle work within maintenance windows to minimize plant risk and System, Structure, or Component unavailability
- —Screen Action Requests and Work Requests; classify work order priorities
- —Act as interface for switchyard and Energy Delivery maintenance coordination
- —Direct CEC organizations to ensure material condition plan integration within the cycle plan
- —Establish scope and boundaries of the cycle plan; monitor Cycle Scheduler performance
- —Drive management of CEC backlogs, balancing preventative, corrective, and elective maintenance
- —Determine on-line risk levels for CEC work schedules and emergent work
- —Chair or participate in Station Oversight Committee meetings
- —Perform screening of new issue reports
- —Mentor and develop Work Management employees
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage activities as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related nuclear operations/maintenance experience OR Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license with 8 years of related experience OR High school diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience. Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements; favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
Desired
Experience in work management and scheduling. Working knowledge of personal computer (PC) and mainframe scheduling systems. Supervisory or managerial experience.
