Cycle Manager
About this role
The Cycle Manager oversees the Cycle Plan for Nuclear Clean Energy Centers, managing work sequencing and scheduling to balance safety, regulatory compliance, material condition, and operational efficiency. This role requires deep expertise in nuclear maintenance planning and the ability to coordinate complex scheduling across multiple departments, including Technical Specifications compliance, Maintenance Rule adherence, and on-line risk assessment.
Responsibilities
- —Manage work sequencing, work scope, and risk levels for equipment and system work windows, ensuring Technical Specifications and Maintenance Rule compliance
- —Coordinate and control work schedules from E-28 through turnover to the Work Week Manager
- —Bundle work within work windows to minimize plant risk and System, Structure, or Component (SSC) unavailability
- —Serve as switchyard maintenance interface for the CEC (Energy Delivery and related functions)
- —Screen Action Requests (ARs) and Work Requests (WRs), and classify work order priorities
- —Ensure material condition improvement plans are represented within the cycle plan and CEC business goals are met
- —Monitor performance of Cycle Schedulers and establish scope and boundaries of the cycle plan
- —Chair or participate in the Station Oversight Committee (SOC)
- —Perform screening of new issue reports
- —Drive management of CEC backlogs, balancing preventative, corrective, and elective maintenance work
- —Determine on-line risk levels for CEC work schedules and emergent work
- —Mentor and develop Work Management employees
- —Support outage activities and emergency response as directed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related nuclear facility experience, OR
- —Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license with 8 years of related experience, OR
- —High school diploma/GED with 10 years of related nuclear facility experience
- —Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access, as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Experience in work management and scheduling
- —Working knowledge of personal computer (PC) and mainframe scheduling systems
- —Supervisory or managerial experience
Location
On-site at Nuclear Clean Energy Centers; includes emergency response, call-out coverage, and outage support responsibilities.
