Control Systems Engineer II
About this role
Westinghouse Control Systems Engineer II role designing, developing, and upgrading control systems for nuclear power plants and industrial automation. Responsibilities span the full project lifecycle: feasibility studies, requirements development, risk analysis, testing, commissioning, and operator training.
Responsibilities
- —Develop and upgrade control equipment in existing nuclear control systems
- —Analyze existing control systems and adapt technical solutions for process industry applications
- —Create conceptual solutions, develop requirements, and conduct technical investigations
- —Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis for new control system projects
- —Execute testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems
- —Provide operator training and manage all project phases from conception to completion
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, engineering physics, computer engineering, or energy engineering. 3+ years of hands-on experience with industrial control systems (ABB AC160, ABB 800xA, Siemens PCS 7, ABB AC400/AMPL). Demonstrated work experience on industrial automation projects in the process industry.
Desired
Prior experience in the nuclear power industry.
