About this role

Westinghouse Control Systems Engineer II role designing, developing, and upgrading control systems for nuclear power plants and industrial automation. Responsibilities span the full project lifecycle: feasibility studies, requirements development, risk analysis, testing, commissioning, and operator training.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and upgrade control equipment in existing nuclear control systems
  • Analyze existing control systems and adapt technical solutions for process industry applications
  • Create conceptual solutions, develop requirements, and conduct technical investigations
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis for new control system projects
  • Execute testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems
  • Provide operator training and manage all project phases from conception to completion

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, engineering physics, computer engineering, or energy engineering. 3+ years of hands-on experience with industrial control systems (ABB AC160, ABB 800xA, Siemens PCS 7, ABB AC400/AMPL). Demonstrated work experience on industrial automation projects in the process industry.

Desired

Prior experience in the nuclear power industry.
