Business Development Manager - Arise PJM/ERCOT
About this role
Business development role selling energy hedging strategies and risk management solutions to Fortune 500 companies in PJM and ERCOT markets. Constellation is a major nuclear and renewable energy generator; this role focuses on prospecting, relationship building, and closing commercial energy contracts with large corporate clients seeking price stability and hedging strategies.
Responsibilities
- —Identify and prospect high-level decision makers at Fortune 500 companies; cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships
- —Analyze customer business objectives and energy price risk tolerances; collaborate with internal teams to develop customized energy hedging and procurement strategies
- —Develop energy plans, prepare client presentations, and close sales transactions
- —Communicate complex energy solutions and market strategies to C-suite executives and key stakeholders
- —Travel as needed to support business development activities and attend training/all-hands meetings
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree plus 5 years relevant business/sales experience (or 9 years relevant experience without degree)
- —Demonstrated success in B2B sales, preferably in energy or commodity markets
- —Extensive professional network across corporate, government, and public sectors
- —Strong organizational and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- —Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
Desired
- —Prior business-to-business energy sales experience in electric, nuclear, gas, or renewable commodity markets
- —Familiarity with demand response, solar, energy efficiency, or other grid services products
- —Experience in PJM and/or ERCOT wholesale markets
