Responsibilities
- Help with the hiring and discipline processes of employees.
- Manage and train a staff of employees in the daily performance of their jobs of general upkeep and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Facilitate morning meetings and pre-job briefs
- Ensure that all work performed, follows safety standards, conforms to specifications, and that work orders are tracked and completed.
- May oversee contractors engaged for facility renovation projects.
- Develop maintenance policy and procedures that ensure the functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.
- Manage all building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, waste management, grounds management and snow removal.
- Orders and maintains inventory of supplies required for continuing operations.
- Develop accurate estimates and coordinate materials and labor for project work and renovations, ensuring that all tasks are completed to quality standards and within the approved scope and budget.
- Ensure that project, department milestones, and goals are met safely.
Location, schedule, and travel
This position is onsite in Bridgman, MI and offered as a full-time, short-term contract role.
