Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related technical discipline. 5+ years of experience as project manager leading and directing medium or high complexity projects to successful completion. Experience as project manager in a technical industry such as engineering, manufacturing, nuclear, or construction. Project Management Institute's Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or approved equivalent.

About this role

Advanced Engineering Project Manager at Westinghouse responsible for planning, execution, and closure of medium-complexity projects and work packages within complex projects. Lead cross-functional teams (up to 30 members) across Fuel/Reload Engineering, Safety Analysis, Software, and Product Development. Manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, resources, and communications aligned with project and contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all aspects of planning including project plans, scope, schedule, cost baselines, resource forecasts, and risk registers
  • Manage project execution to exceed quality, schedule, and financial goals while following department protocols for team acquisition
  • Manage scope, schedule, cost/revenue, risk, quality, resources, communications, and partners aligned with project/contract requirements
  • Prepare and oversee project cost/revenue expenditures, forecasts, and progress evaluations to support project and financial reporting
  • Promote teamwork by issuing and maintaining project process metrics and process maps to keep team, customer, and stakeholders informed
  • Develop and oversee project databases and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of internal/external correspondence and documentation
  • Close projects by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems
  • Identify and communicate improvement opportunities, lessons learned, and risk avoidance strategies for future work

Preferred qualifications

Broad technical knowledge of nuclear power plants.
