- Minimum 15 years progressive management/leadership experience
- Experience preparing and delivering oral presentations to board levels and internal/external organizations
- Previous experience with large ($40M+) engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects
About this role
Energy Northwest seeks a VP to lead nuclear development initiatives, including business development, multi-billion-dollar new nuclear facility planning and execution, and contracted activities for public utility districts and technology developers. Reports to SVP/Chief Commercial Officer; sets strategic direction for the Nuclear Development division.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for Nuclear Development division, establishing vision, objectives, and key business initiatives
- Oversee business development activities and planning/execution of multi-billion-dollar new nuclear facilities
- Manage contracted activities including site characterization, licensing, and nuclear program development for public utility districts and technology vendors
- Identify project efficiencies and cost reduction methods to achieve strategic goals for cost of power
- Advance safety and environmental protection awareness and achievement of strategic plan goals
- Develop current and future leaders through succession planning and active coaching
- Interface with stakeholders including public utility district leadership, EN executive board, and technology vendor executives
- Manage financial consultants and contractors for new nuclear power plants
- Participate in industry groups including EPRI, NEI, and PNUCC
