About this role

Senior technical leader responsible for turbine generator and balance-of-plant system ownership across Entergy's nuclear fleet. Drives reliability and performance optimization of critical plant equipment through technical expertise, engineering support, and cross-functional coordination with operations and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system ownership and advocacy for deficiency resolution to achieve high equipment reliability for turbine generator and auxiliary components across the fleet
  • Monitor performance of Entergy and vendor field work to ensure critical maintenance activities are executed correctly
  • Gather and share operating experience from Entergy fleet and industry sources to drive continuous improvement
  • Assist with planning, prioritization, and lifecycle management of assigned turbine and balance-of-plant systems
  • Establish and prioritize action plans to address system deficiencies through corrective action and work management processes
  • Develop cost-effective maintenance strategies in coordination with Maintenance and Operations departments
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise and technical support for significant events and complex plant problems
  • Support system configuration and design changes
  • Develop engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures
  • Advocate for outage work scope prioritization and preventive maintenance implementation
  • Participate in project teams for critical on-line and refueling outage activities
  • Serve on outage engineering support teams as assigned
  • Maintain system documentation to support operational turnover
  • Attend required training to maintain qualifications

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or closely related scientific discipline, or equivalent work experience demonstrating success at engineer or technical specialist level
  • 2–5 years of experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent experience depending on engineering level
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with PC applications

Desired

  • SRO (Senior Reactor Operator) license or certification on PWR or BWR
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license

Location

Onsite at one of five Entergy nuclear sites: Waterford 3 (LA), Grand Gulf (MS), Riverend (MS), Arkansas Nuclear (AR), or Echelon (TX). Primary location: Russellville, Arkansas. 50–75% travel required.
