About this role
Temporary Nuclear Plant Service Attendant position at Prairie Island Nuclear Plant (Xcel Energy) in Welch, MN. 2–3 month assignment supporting plant operations through cleaning, radiological decontamination, equipment maintenance, grounds work, and fire watch duties across all departments. Requires General Security Clearance, Nuclear Security Clearance, and Nuclear General Access Training (GAT).
Responsibilities
- —Perform plant cleaning and radiological decontamination of equipment and components
- —Conduct fire watch and fire protection surveillance
- —Maintain plant grounds and provide general labor support to all plant departments
- —Function under written plant operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
- —Perform duties from elevated and confined spaces (scaffolding, catwalks)
- —Complete required documentation as directed by management
Qualifications
- —High school diploma or GED
- —Valid driver's license
- —Ability to safely lift 50 pounds
- —Successfully obtain and maintain General Security Clearance and Nuclear Security Clearance
- —Complete Nuclear General Access Training (GAT) and nuclear security screening process
- —Basic computer skills and excellent written/verbal communication

- —Demonstrated adherence to nuclear safety and security requirements

Prairie Island Nuclear Plant, Welch, MN; 2–3 month temporary assignment; ability to work in elevated and confined spaces required
