About this role
Lead nuclear materials and warehouse operations at Xcel Energy, supervising stores personnel and ensuring strict compliance with NRC codes, 10 CFR 50, and nuclear technical specifications. Manage inventory control, coordinate material deliveries, and implement supply chain processes supporting reactor site operations and outage scheduling.
Responsibilities
- —Direct supervision of Represented Stores department personnel (Material and Procurement Specialists), including work assignments, performance monitoring, coaching, and employee development
- —Observe and enforce safety rules and practices; promptly correct unsafe conditions and behaviors in compliance with nuclear safety requirements
- —Plan, implement, and coordinate work scheduling to maintain coverage for emergent work while complying with company and IBEW contract requirements
- —Monitor inventory storage conditions, methods, and control of parts and materials through daily and periodic inspections for nuclear procedural compliance
- —Interface with plant work groups (Planners, Scheduling, Maintenance, Chemistry) to deliver quality services
- —Coordinate material and services needs with work management team in support of schedule; manage material deliveries, shipments, and storage requirements
- —Develop, implement, and maintain training for Materials and Procurement Specialists, including nuclear policies, CAP Management, and outage scheduling activities
- —Serve as Acting Member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO)
- —Participate in nuclear peer group activities and fleet cost avoidance programs
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of progressively responsible roles in material control or warehousing
- —Or 10 years of directly-related education and experience in warehouse operations in lieu of degree
- —Demonstrated knowledge of nuclear procurement requirements and processes
- —Demonstrated ability to work successfully in team situations and develop/implement best practices
- —Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreement
Location
Hybrid: Monday and Friday work-from-home option; Tuesday-Thursday in-office. Schedule: 7am-3pm with flexibility.
