System Operations Training Specialist (Control Center Training)
About this role
Develop and deliver NERC Certification training for Transmission Control Center (TCC) operators at Entergy. This role manages the systematic approach to training (SAT) program, operator qualifications, PER-005 compliance, and ensures TCC operating personnel meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- —Develop and administer training to TCC Operators in accordance with the organization's Systematic Approach to Training (SAT)
- —Work with Operations Management to develop annual training plans and curriculum
- —Administer operator qualifications, modify training tasks as needed, and ensure PER-005 (NERC operator qualification) compliance
- —Work with Line Management on projects impacting operator responsibilities, tasks, and tools
- —Participate in NERC, SERC, and MISO committees focused on training and operator standards
- —Support emergency operations during storms, outages, and system emergencies as needed; may require alternate locations and extended hours
Qualifications
- —High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience
- —10+ years system operations or transmission operations experience; OR 5+ years experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- —NERC System Operator Certification (may be obtained after hiring)
- —Subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing (Safety Sensitive position)
Location
Onsite in Jackson, MS or Little Rock, AR; up to 25% travel required
