Required qualifications

  • Minimum education required for the position Desired: B.S.
  • Degree in education, engineering, or related technical degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum experience required for the position Instructor, Operations Sr: Must meet one of the following: 12 years commercial nuclear plant experience.
  • An SRO license or certification.
  • Degree in a related field and at least three years of nuclear training experience or at least three years of experience teaching or developing curriculum in an education or academic environment.
  • Instructor, Operations Sr Staff: 5 years of nuclear plant experience (commercial or military) or a B.S. degree in education, engineering, or related technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience in the associated line organization.
  • Desired: 3 years previously licensed as PWR-SRO Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position Technical proficiency in the assigned area.

Responsibilities

  • Job Title: Operations Instructor Work Place Flexibility: Onsite Legal Entity: Entergy Operations, Inc.-EOI * ** This position may be filled as an Instructor, Ops Sr Nuclear or Instructor, Ops Sr Staff Nuclear based on the experience and/or qualifications of the selected candidate . ** JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Conducts training programs for licensed operators and shift technical advisors in reactor operations covering replacement, requalification, upgrade, etc., consistent with NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) requirements.
  • Develops and maintains operations training programs.
  • JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Administers training programs to ensure the availability of qualified and licensed personnel.
  • Interfaces with line personnel to analyze performance needs and recommend appropriate training solutions.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training materials and programs using the systematic approach to training.
  • Administers and coordinates training programs for sites and corporate groups as assigned.
