About this role
Supervise and coordinate engineers in nuclear plant design, systems, programs, and component engineering at the Callaway Energy Center (a 1,190 MW pressurized water reactor in mid-Missouri). Lead an engineering team within an 800+ person facility, ensuring safe operations through technical oversight, procedure development, and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support in design, systems, programs, or component engineering including operating experience sharing, work prioritization, corrective action processes, and training
- Direct preparation, review, and recommend approval of procedures for workgroup activities
- Review and approve requisitions for material, equipment, and spare parts of plant equipment
- Establish technical competence requirements for positions and evaluate performance of engineering personnel
- Schedule work assignments to align personnel resources with plant needs
- Ensure conformance with Quality Assurance procedures and Technical Specifications
- Recommend procurement of outside assistance based on workload and expertise requirements
Preferred qualifications
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Current or previous nuclear operations experience, license, or certificate (SRO, RO)
- Nuclear power plant engineering experience
- Completion of nuclear plant systems training program (such as twelve-week NSSS vendor programs)
Location, schedule, and travel
Callaway Energy Center, mid-Missouri. Standard day shift in office/plant environment; additional hours and/or rotating shifts may be required during refueling outages and emergent plant activities.
