About this role
4–5 month on-site contract instructor role at Westinghouse's Monticello, MN nuclear facility. Deliver SRO-level training in classroom, simulator, and plant environments to non-licensed operators, license candidates, and shift leadership. Requires active or previously held SRO license and 10+ years nuclear operations experience.
Responsibilities
- —Deliver training in classroom, simulator, and plant environments to non-licensed operators, initial license candidates, licensed operators, and shift leadership
- —Develop and maintain training materials including lesson plans, simulator scenarios, evaluation tools, and JPMs
- —Instruct, evaluate, and support performance improvement and corrective action programs
- —Assist with simulator fidelity verification and regulatory compliance (NRC/ANSI standards)
- —Participate in emergency response organization, refueling outages, and plant issue response
Qualifications
- —Active or previously held Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license
- —10+ years nuclear operations experience
- —Classroom and simulator instruction experience
- —Prior SRO certification (BWR preferred)
- —Experience with NUREG-1021 exam development
- —INPO Instructor Certification
- —Supervisory experience
