SRO Instructor
About this role
Contract SRO Instructor at Palisades Nuclear Station (PWR) in Michigan. Develop and deliver classroom and simulator-based training for Senior Reactor Operator candidates, create and administer evaluations (written exams, JPMs, simulator scenarios), and monitor student performance under a Program Director.
Responsibilities
- —Revise and deliver classroom lesson plans aligned with current site training requirements
- —Revise and deliver simulator lesson plans aligned with current site training requirements
- —Develop or revise evaluation materials including written exam questions, JPMs (Job Performance Measures), and simulator scenarios
- —Administer evaluations per the LOIT (Licensed Operator Initial Training) schedule
- —Conduct student reviews and follow-up meetings to support LOOT (Licensed Operator On-the-job Training) program requirements and monitor candidate performance
- —Respond to instructor feedback from management observations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences (Mechanical, Chemical, Energy, Nuclear, Physics, or similar). 7+ years of experience as an operations instructor or similar role at power plants or industrial facilities. Demonstrated organizational abilities including teamwork, customer orientation, and progress tracking.
Location
Onsite at Palisades Nuclear Station, Palisades, Michigan. Contract position.
