Senior Regulatory Engineer
About this role
Senior Regulatory Engineer providing expert regulatory, licensing, and technical support for nuclear plant fleet compliance and operations. Develops and manages regulatory analyses, licensing basis documentation, and technical problem-solving initiatives to ensure NRC compliance and operational excellence across Constellation's nuclear facilities.
Responsibilities
- —Develop, manage, and implement regulatory analyses, activities, and programs with in-depth technical expertise
- —Identify and resolve regulatory issues through direct technical consultation and independent research
- —Manage complete task execution for regulatory issues from initiation through resolution, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of licensing basis documentation
- —Perform independent studies and technical analyses in support of regulatory projects and code compliance
- —Recommend process improvements, new concepts, and techniques to reduce regulatory burden and ensure compliance with NRC regulations and industry codes
- —Provide emergency response support and outage coverage as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline; minimum 6 years of professional experience; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to obtain/maintain security clearance and unescorted access with favorable medical examination
Desired
SRO License or equivalent certification; advanced technical degree or related post-graduate qualification
