About this role
Senior Maintenance & Technical Instructor at Constellation Energy, the nation's largest producer of clean, carbon-free energy. Develop, deliver, and evaluate performance-based training programs in Chemistry, Engineering, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Radiation Protection for nuclear power plant personnel. Drive operational excellence and regulatory compliance through systematic training design and execution.
Responsibilities
- —Develop, schedule, coordinate, and conduct performance-based maintenance and technical training programs aligned with Constellation's systematic approach to training (SAT) model
- —Prepare trainee examinations and conduct evaluations in classroom, laboratory, OJT (on-the-job training), and simulator environments
- —Conduct trainee counseling sessions, evaluate performance, and develop individualized training programs
- —Maintain and update training programs based on INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, NRC Bulletins, design changes, procedure revisions, and regulatory updates
- —Participate in Clean Energy Center (CEC) support activities including outage support, root cause analysis, and line assessments
- —Supervise collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports per regulatory requirements
- —Participate in NRC, INPO, and management audits; prepare responses to audit findings
- —Support business initiatives, project management, refuel outage activities, and emergency preparedness
- —Maintain current knowledge of plant operations and technical disciplines to develop effective, high-quality training
- —Perform emergency response and outage support duties as assigned
Qualifications
- —High school diploma/GED with 5 years of nuclear technical background OR Associate's degree in technical discipline with 3 years nuclear technical background OR Bachelor's degree in technical discipline with 1+ years related instruction experience
- —2 years of training or education experience
- —Meet or exceed ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.4.3) Standard requirements for nuclear power plant personnel
- —Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access per position duties
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Experience in nuclear power plant operations or maintenance disciplines
- —Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (NRC, INPO) in nuclear energy
Location
Nuclear power plant site (Constellation operates multiple US facilities)
