About this role

Senior Mechanic at Constellation's Combined Heat and Power (CHP) facility. This role is responsible for inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of critical plant equipment including valves, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and boilers. You will perform both preventative and predictive maintenance while ensuring optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance across power generation systems.

Responsibilities

—Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and minor repairs on plant equipment (valves, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, boilers)
—Perform mechanical installations, repairs, and replacements; conduct lubrication, inspection, mechanical alignment, and vibration monitoring
—Assist in planning, scheduling, and execution of work outages and the preventative maintenance program
—Maintain and monitor safe working conditions; identify, correct, and report unsafe work areas; enforce safety compliance
—Coordinate with Operations staff to ensure service continuity and manage parts inventory
—Complete maintenance services on time while meeting company standards for cost control, quality, safety, and equipment reliability
—Work overtime regularly to support plant outages, emergency work, and critical operational needs

Qualifications

—High school diploma or equivalent
—5+ years power plant or industrial plant mechanical maintenance experience
—Technical training through trade school or military program
—Strong mechanical aptitude and basic steam plant and combustion turbine knowledge
—Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
—Ability to read and interpret safety rules, block diagrams, electrical schematics, and P&IDs
—Demonstrated judgment and decision-making skills within defined procedures
—Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, crawl, lift up to 50 lbs, and reach with hands and arms
—Vision abilities including close/distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
